Join a COVID-19 clinical trial
The PRINCIPLE trial aims to find treatments that reduce hospital admission and improve symptoms for people with COVID-19. Heath Lane Surgery is involved with this clinical trial and you could be eligible to join if:
- You have had these symptoms for fewer than 14 days:
- a continuous new or worsening cough
- a high temperature
- You are aged 50 to 64 with a pre-existing illness (for example Asthma, COPD, Heart Failure, Diabetes)
- You are aged 65 and above

GOV.UK WhatsApp Coronavirus Information Service
A new GOV.UK WhatsApp Coronavirus Information Service has now been launched. The purpose of this product is to combat the spread of misinformation propagated through WhatsApp on an Official Government channel. To use the service, members of the public simply add +44 7860 064422 to their contacts and send a WhatsApp message saying “Hi”.
Your COVID Recovery
Your COVID Recovery (YCR) is a unique project conceived in Leicester by Professor Sally Singh and developed by a core team of 12 leading professionals from prominent national organisations, supported by NHSE, to bring about best care for those affected by COVID.
The YCR website allows patients, family, friends and carers instant access to information to support their understanding and early recovery after contracting the COVID virus. The site is also a fantastic recourse for clinicians and all content is down loadable to PDF and printable if required.
